There is no better time of year than the new year to find your signature scent. Revlon makes this suuuuper easy and affordable with their perfume prices ranging from R290. Not only are their eau de toilette’s super affordable within each Revlon perfume range there are even cheaper options from body sprays, roll on deo and even body creams – there really is no excuse to have a signature Revlon perfume in your life.
I thought I would give you my thoughts on a few of their perfumes and give you heads up which are my favourite scents.
Starting off with the Pink Happiness, this is a sweet, fruity light scent with notes of jasmine, lime, grapefruit and rosewood. This is the perfect day to night scent that leaves a subtle and non over-powering scent but enough that your scent is noticed. The Pink Happiness collection has four variants for different personalities some sweeter, some muskier than others. These are little secrets, sheer delight, sweet bliss, delicate moments and first love. The bottle is so cute with little hearts and a butterfly with the lid being a metallic pink, it makes a perfect addition to a perfume collection. The Revlon Pink Happiness collection is also available in body sprays which retail from R36 and a roll on for R21, so if you’re on a budget or are looking for a gift for a young girl that’s looking to start her perfume journey this is a great option.
On to the next Revlon perfume, Unforgettable Encounter. The more sophisticated scents of them all, this Revlon perfume has been around for 25 years (that’s almost my entire life!) Unforgettable Encounter is one of South Africa’s top selling fragrance, retailing at R300. This scent is quite woody and musky not my cup of tea but I can understand why it is such a popular scent as it really does leave a lasting impression. A little goes a long way as it is quite a strong scent, the bottle is sleek and elegant. The Unforgettable collection has 3 variants Original, Unforgettable YOU and Unforgettable Encounter.
We have come to my most favourite of the entire Revlon perfume collection. Fire and Ice – Ice Radiance as the name would suggest this range comprises of two variants; a red more risqué scent and a blue fresher scent. The range consists of perfume, body spray, roll on and a body cream with prices ranging from R36. My favourite is the Ice Radience it is a super fresh scent with notes of green apple, peach, lemon and jasmine. I am also convinced this is a dupe for Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue, if you don’t believe me the next time you’re at Dischem give them both a little spritz and let me know what you think, because I’m totally convinced.
Onto the latest relaunch of the Revlon perfume – Love her Madly the relaunch is not only focused on the gorgeous new design and packaging of Original and Cherish, with the relaunch Revlon introduced two additional fragrances to join the range; Love her Madly Breathless and Love her Madly Enchant. I have the new Revlon perfume variant Love her Madly Breathless this is a fruity scent with lime, zesty orange, pear, litchi and jasmine. I find this the perfect effortless Revlon perfume, you know the one that you’d gravitate to when you don’t really know which perfume you feel like wearing. The Love her Madly range retails for R300 for 50ml Eau De Toilette.
I think Revlon has really hit the nail on the head with an affordable and wide range of perfume, making it so easy and affordable to smell amazing! Do you use any Revlon perfume?
