I think its safe to say Catrice is one of my most favourite pharmacy/drugstore brands. There is nothing like standing infront of an updated Catrice stand in Dischem and having a look at their beautifully colour coordinated nail polishes and swatching their matellic eyeshadows. I wanted to share with you some new favourites from the Catrice range update.
Unfortunately this is one of the limited edition Catrice products from the Pulse of Purism range but I thought it was definitely worth talking about because its amazing and will still be on the shelves for a while – I am talking about the Pure Radiance Glowrizer (like moisturiser but for glow!) primer. This is one of the most unique primers I have ever use I mean can we just take a moment for these gorgeous little gel-pearls! The idea is that the gel-pearls are light reflecting and get gently crushed when you pump some out to create a gorgeous glowing and smooth texture primer. What I really like about this primer is that even though it gives all the glow it doesn’t turn the face into an oil slick, instead it gives a lit from within look that is visible under your foundation.
When it comes to foundation/base Catrice seem to always get this right. One of my most favourite base products is the discontinued Catrice BB cream. The made to stay foundation has a high coverage satin finish. It lasts all day without going cakey and it doesn’t oxidize on my skin. I don’t need any powder when I use this foundation, I have tried it out with powder on top and that made it quite cakey and faded in patches by the end of the day.
I feel like I have harped on about the Catrice glam and doll mascara for so long, this is a new variant of the glam and doll mascara – false lash effect and I absolutely love it! This version tends to give my lashes quiet a curled full effect, I can’t recommend the Cartice glam and doll mascara more for under R90 it’s the best affordable mascara out there!
This is a gorgeous golden liquid highlight that can be built up for intensity or sheered out for a slight sheen. It comes in a pen form with a small brush attached which make it the perfect go to product for on the go. A small bit of product on the high points of the face blended in with your finger, brush of sponge and you’re good to go.
What is your favourite Catrice product new or old?
