Every year Clarins releases a gorgeous summer inspired range which always consists of the most amazing embossed bronzer – so beautiful you almost don’t want to touch it. I wrote about the aquatic treasure summer bronzer release here is you would like to see what it looked like.
If anything reminds me of summer it’s a golden eye, bronzed face a LOT of lashes and a peachy lip! That description is exactly what you can expect from this years limited edition summer range – Clarin’s Sunkissed
The Clarins Sunkissed range consists of the famous bronzer, eyeshadow quad, eyeliners and lipstick.
As expected the Clarins Sunkissed range is absolutely gorgeous! My favourite from this year’s collection is tied between the bronzer and the gold eye liner, that being said the eyeshadow quad is right up there ok, ok I love it all!
This year’s limited edition summer bronzer is a gorgeous fine powder that is lightly pigmented to warm up the face without looking orange at all! I absolutely love that is not overly pigmented because I have such a heavy hand as it is that when a bronzer or blusher is very pigmented I end up looking like an oompa loompa / clown / your worst nightmare! For this reason I have a few Clarins bronzer’s in my collection because they’re always fool-(CARA)-proof! In terms of shimmer it has a dusting of shimmer to it. The Sunkissed bronzer also has an orange shade at the bottom of the palette which can be used on its own as a blusher, the rest of the bronzer sections in the compact have a gradient effect going from darkest to light or you can swirl a large brush in the entire pan for an all over application.
Let’s talk about the eyes; the Sunkissed quad is the perfect summer, easy going palette that is so versatile from creating a bronzey smokey eye to a wash of golden and peach shimmers. The quad consists of a shimmering peach, matte beige, a shimmering gold and a satin finish brown. The eyeshadows are quite silky smooth but do have quite a lot of chunky glitter to them, they allow for a wash of colour and are not overly pigmented. I like to use the beige and gold all over the lid and the peach in the crease, I haven’t been bold enough to wear the peach on its own but this is totally a goal of mine. Next up is the ever gorgeous gold eyeliner and hold the phone its waterproof which means it’s the most perfect holiday make up item! As with all Clarins eyeliners (I have had so many over the years, my favourite used to be a deep purple shade smokey Plum) each one always has a small sponge on the one end which helps to smoke out the eyeliner on the top or bottom of the lid, I specifically love this for the bottom lash line. The Clarins eyeliners are always so long lasting and offer a solid opaque colour payoff – so if you are on the market for a new pencil eyeliner have a look at the Clarins offering.
