It’s no lie that I have panda eyes pretty much all year round, the darkness around my eyes is not only contained to the bottom of my eyes but is also on my eye lids. This is hugely hereditary in fact when my mom was at school the teachers would accuse her of having eyeshadow on! I mean I guess that is a plus it always looks like we have a peachy red eyeshadow on but it is super annoying if you want a simple ‘no make, make up’ look because without fail an eyeshadow primer is needed (my fav is the Avon one or a MAC paint pot)
Seeing as I know my eye area will always be a little dark they do tend to get worse with lack of sleep or stress, you can imagine how much worse this looks seeing as I start off with a darker eye are to begin with.
I have been using eye cream since I was about 16, it’s something my mom always instilled in me especially as that is the first area to age due to the skin texture around your eyes. I stopped using eye cream for a couple of months and I could see crows feet sneaking in, went straight back in and they’ve gone – so it goes to show eye cream really works!
I want to introduce to you my latest eyecream obsession the Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift. The unique idea behind the Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift is that it is more than just an eye cream it is actually a cream-gel mask! This unique formula gives off a cooling effect which is created not only by the liquid but also by the massage applicator which feels so relaxing and soothing it also helps to reenergize the skin to reduce signs of stress, puffiness and said dark circles!
With ingredients such as wild indigo seed that’s aim is to brighten the under-eye circles, sea water extract and arctic algae to diminish the puffiness, fermented yeast blended with the ever famous hyaluronic acid to firm the skin and create a lifting effect and lastly gallic acid which works with your skins natural microorganisms to brighten the skin. The Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift contains no artificial fragrances or colours which is so important especially around the eye area, when it comes to this part of your face I don’t think it matters what skin type you are the eye area is generally sensitive with fairly thin skin so it is super important to always keep it moisturized.
This is how I use the Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift:
On clean skin I apply the eyecream in an infinity sign around both my eyes twice, I then leave the area alone and after about 5 minutes I pat the excess into the area gently. If you are using this in the day and the area is a little too ‘wet’ still you can always dab GIF LOL the excess off with a tissue.
Dermalogica got this product spot on, it’s the perfect pick-me- up for eyes. Even if you’re not feeling stressed or extra tired the Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift is a great eye cream option to give you extra luminosity and moisture. What are your favourite eye creams?
